New Zealand Farm

Between green hills of Western Slovakia, less than an hour by car northeast of Vienna, you will come across something you wouldn’t expect. All of a sudden, around the village of Modrová, a traffi c sign tells you that you are on the territory of New Zealand. This is quickly followed by yet another sign that warns you to „beware of kangaroos“. Before you say Jack Robinson, you fi nd yourself looking in the eyes of a bison, Boer goat, Scottish Highland cattle, llama, sheep, even emu and a camel. Indeed, you are in New Zealand. And enough to cross the street – and you’re in Australia right away. At the same time however, you are never too far away from the Bezovec Ski Resort and the world-famous Piešťany spa.
